Dress Code
The dress code has been amended in 2017 to incorporate the wearing of the coloured Club Shirt.
A printable version of the Dress Code is available on the Documents Page
Dress Guidance for Matches
Members are required to wear either a coloured Club Shirt or a
collared white shirt/blouse with the Club Badge fixed to the breast
pocket when representing the Club. New Members will be issued with
one Club Badge (roundel) free of charge (additional badges can be purchased). Club Shirts can be purchased
through the Club during the season. The Club Shirt is mandatory for all League matches. Either the Club Shirt or
the shirt/blouse may be worn for friendlies involving another club and internal Club competitions
Dress Guidance - General
Official bowling shoes are required. A set of white waterproofs just in case!
A white fleece is very useful for evening matches especially at the beginning and end of the Season.
Dress Code for Roll ups
The Committee has decided that there will be a relaxed code of dress for roll ups (when there are no
competitions or matches taking place) and for Monday and Friday Points. Casual will be the order of the day but
please be considerate to your fellow bowlers and remember that it is a bowling green not a beach!!
The Committee reserves the right to withdraw this relaxation if it is abused.
Dress Requirements for New Members
We like to help new bowlers by spreading the expense involved over a number of months. The dress
requirements will therefore be partially relaxed for new bowlers during their first year. See the New Members
section of this web site for details
