Care of the green is supervised by the elected greenkeeper. Outside contractors undertake specialist work and a team of club members is responsible for mowing the green throughout the summer. Additional helpers on this team are always very welcome. A notice will be displayed when the Green has been treated. In which case bowlers will need to take care not to transfer chemicals that may be on the surface of the Green onto their skin or mouth; The green keeper's decision is final concerning the green being fit to play.
PLEASE: Only flat soled (Bowling) shoes on the Green; No running on the Green; Do not sit on the edge of the Green, use the seating provided; Do not drop bowls on the Green; A notice will be displayed if Protective mats are required;
When using protective mats fit them as shown in the diagram displayed in the Locker Room. A copy of the diagram can be viewed here
