Roll-ups
As a full playing member you are entitled to come along and have a practice as long as a
rink is free. However, this is not the case when the green is on loan (shown as GOL) or
when a County match is being played. If any other match is being played you will need
the approval of the Captain of that match.
If you do come for a Roll-up, you must ensure all equipment is put away and the
premises are secure before you leave.
Rules
Club Rules are displayed on the board in the lobby and a copy of these rules will be
provided for new members.
Club Competition Rules are displayed on the competition boards in the clubroom.
Copies of the County and English Bowling Association Handbooks are available in the
Clubroom for consultation.
Use of the Green
The green is available from midday. Matches and competitions take precedence over
roll-ups, and a list of priorities is displayed with the Rink Booking Sheet in the lobby.
Any free rinks can be used for roll-ups.
Sessions are 12.00 to 2.15; 2.15 to 5.30 and 5.30 to dusk, although these timings do
not have to be strictly adhered to.
Please respect the greenkeeper's advice regarding the green being fit for play.
Note: if the green is very wet protective mats may be deployed to enable play. Please
consult the greenkeeper if available or an experienced member of the club
